As if the phones released in the XPERIA line weren’t expensive and up market enough, SE have decided to release a truly upmarket phone with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness, which is a very quirky phone meant for those who like extraordinary design rather than extraordinary features.
All the other XPERIA phones seem to have an edge in the technological aspect of the phone, but this phone is, admittedly, pure! The phone is a fashion phone, in and out, and the specs sheet is so un-smartphonelike that the main claim to fame for this phone is the fact that the display is transparent. Yep, you read that right, the display is transparent!
The trend for see – through mobile phones had been started earlier this year at the Mobile World congress held in Barcelona earlier this year when LG released a phone with a see – through keypad in the form of the LG GD900 Crystal. However, SE decided to go one step ahead and release a phone with a see – through screen, rather!
This is what truly gives this phone the ‘wow’ factor. The phone has a very sleek look and the fact that you can view the screen from both sides of the phone is, well, quirky, to say the least! This feature isn’t exactly useful as the screen isn’t a mirror image, but, to heck with all that, when you have a phone which is meant just for aesthetic pleasure, why harp on the unnecessary factors!
Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness Reviews have harped on the fact that the phone has a monochrome display but, frankly, when you have such a strange 2 – way display, then why bother with the fact that it isn’t colour. As SE themselves succinctly said, the phone is meant mainly for aesthetics and sets aside technological pleasure, which is clearly visible in the fact that the only notable features of the phone are the music player, FM radio and Bluetooth.
The phone will be released in November for 640 pounds although no news on the price of the Xperia Pureness on contract.
